October saw the 6th Edition of Little Known Box so to mark the occasion the lovely people over at Little Known Box made a special anniversary edition box with some beautifully hand picked treats and a couple of bonus items too!
I have review a few little Known Box boxes and I haven’t never been disappointed. Each month they arrive so beautifully packaged with a wonderful selection of products covering, skincare, beauty and practical beauty items. This month didn’t fail to disappoint either offering a great selection of little known products and a couple of well known ones too!
First up let me introduce you to two new luxury brands Lin&Lo and SAMAYA, lets take a closer look at what they have to offer:
Lin&Lo Satin Lipstick in the shade Pinky Beige is a fabulous lipstick of which the colour is beautiful for a soft autumn lip and exactly the kind of shade I would go for typically. Lin&Lo is an ethical brand created by two makeup artists who combine the highest standards of purity with enriched mineral ingredients.
The lipstick feels super creamy and nourishing and I particularly love the luxurious feel to lipstick with the chic metal packaging which really adds to the quality feel of the product. The lipstick has shea butter and antioxidants which leave your lips feeling super nourished with a nice sheen of pinky nude colour. This lipstick also works well with a lip liner to get it some more depth and create an ombre lip which I love. This retails at £19 so it is a higher end product but a beautiful offering.
SAMAYA Antiaging Cream – “effective skincare that allows you to incorporate balance and wellness into your beauty routine”
SAMYA is a brand new range and is bases its principles on the Ayurevdic principles. At this point I have to admit I didn’t actually know what this meant so I visited their website to find out a little more www.samayaayurveda.com where you can discover your Dosha.
“Ayurevdic principles work in harmony with your Dosha, which is the name given to the energies that govern every individual. There are primarily three types of dosha: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Each type corresponds to a set of physical and emotional traits. Often one dosha dominates, however some individuals find that a combination of two, or in rare cases all three, doshas best defines their character.”
I’m loving trying this new brand and would love to try more products from their range and find the whole ethos behind it fascinating.
Dinki Belle Nail Wraps
I’m a big fan of nail wraps, I think they offer a great alternative to gel or polish and give a super quick and easy fresh look to your nails. Nail wraps really offer the option to add a really great look to your nails by simply placing the wrap over your nail and trimming the wrap to size and secure it into place to have an instant bang on trend mani! These wraps can also be used on your toes too and I love this look in summer when the flip flops are out!
I have tried quite a few nail wrap brands but Dinki Belle is new to me and I adore the marble design and I’m really looking forward to applying them. For £7.99 these are a fab alternative to your conventional mani!
Merumaya is a brand that I have been wanting to try for ages so I was so pleased to find the Merumaya Melting Cleansing Balm in this months Little Known Box. This balm really does feel really luxurious and genuinely like no other balm that I have tried. It has ingredients of Sweet almond oil, echium oil, anti-oxidants and omega 3, 6, 9. This cleansing balm is a soft smooth consistency and literally melts away your make up and melts into a nourishing oil to leave your skin feeling clean and nourished and hydrated.
A bonus sachet of the Merumaya Iconic Youth Serum was also included and this is also a fab product that I would love to buy the full bottle. It is however £36.50 a bottle and that’s just slightly too much for my current skincare budget, but it may well go on my wish list to Santa and I would love to try other products from this brand as I have been really impressed with these two.
The Herb Garden Massage Bar. This is a lovely little massage bar that offers a great product to soothe away your worries. It melt beautifully with your bodies own natural heat and warmth either rub it in the palm of your hands or directly on your back and shoulders to benefit from the soy and essential oils to leave your skin feeling nourished and moisturised. Alternatively this little flower can also be used as a moisturiser – how great is that?! You can buy two full sized massage bars for just £8.00
Little Known Box Mirror – also included in the Special edition box was this gorgeous mirror that is in the gorgeous black and gold brand colours of Little known Box. I love thypography quotes at the moment so this is a very welcome additional treat in the box and got popped straightt into my bag to use for make up touch ups throughout the day.
And finally the last bonus product is the Fab little bag handbag pack which are sanitary bags to pop into your bag. handy for women on the go who can be discreet and still care for the environment by not flushing sanitary waste away and discarding of them properly.
So once again Little Known Box have produced another fab box with a great range of products and I’ve really been testing out and enjoying the products over the last couple of weeks.
